SKIN REJUVENATION : Photodynamic Therapy (Photo Rejuvenation)

By applying a topical photosensitizing agent (Levulan), the reaction in targeted skin tissue is enhanced when the skin is exposed to a light energy source such as IPL. There is increased redness and peeling for 3-5 days following your treatment. It is important to use a sunscreen after your treatment. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising new treatment which can improve actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous skin lesions), sun damaged skin and acne.
